Malkeet Singh
The Rotary Club of Hoshiarpur Mid Town (26559), District 3070, with the Plano Metro Rotary Club of Plano, Texas, restored the sight of Malkeet Singh, a 28-year-old man from Ferozepur district, Punjab, under the project Mission Gift of Sight.
The corneal transplant was performed by Dr. Rohit Gupta at Tricity Eye Hospital, Mohali, on behalf of Guru Ka Langar Eye Hospital, Sector 18-B, Chandigarh, under the MOU signed between the Rotary clubs and the hospital. The operation, the donated cornea and the medicines afterwards were all free of cost to the patient.
This was the 448th corneal transplant by the clubs under Mission Gift of Sight.
